Launch of 3Emotions first 2 FCEB's at PTO operator RET in Rotterdam (NL)

Friday June 30, the first fuel cell electric buses of the 3Emotion project, manufactured by Van Hool, are launched at public transport operator RET in Rotterdam.

The buses will fuel at the existing refuelling station of Air Liquide in Rotterdam, of which the storage capacity is expanded for this purpose, also within the 3Emotion project.

That makes them comparable to conventional buses in their use. A fuel cell is an electrochemical device that generates electricity from hydrogen. This electricity is the main source for the electric motors of the Fuel Cell bus.
